PreparationsThought i must at least put a post above the previous to raise the mood of this blog. Thx for those who tried to cheer me up, but i'm feeling better now le. thx a lot
This week had been a busy week for me. We've 3 consecutive days of ogl preparations, of sea regatta, of OPAC packing, of cheer brain storming, of lecture-like orientation briefing, of OG outings, of taking about scandals in the OG, of playing lame games in the OG. From hours to days to weeks of hanging out together, Creons had felt closer to one another. And that feeling is great! Compared to the other OG, we are definitely more united and stronger (kind of reflective from fri's attendance). Creon rocks=)
Oh, almost forgot. Happy New Year to everyone! fullsynchro | 31.12.06

UpdateI haven blog for so long, when so many things have been happening
many things, big and small
went to NSC for treatment
ppl start commenting about my face
went for OGL training and met new friends
i became an OG head
went for 4/7 chalet
i saw my old classmate from 4/7
and had so much fun watching movie, playing cards,
laughing at young hen's psychology elective programme
playing captain's ball at a dark corridor
then got scolded by aloha chalet personnel
and even approach by some random adult wanteding charcoal from us
now the chalet is over le
and i'm at home retracing my path so far
only to realise what a mess i'm in.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
4/7 chalet could be more fun if more people can stay for more days
The first day was quite disappointing for the organisers. Only 4 ppl met at the interchange and stayed over at the chalet. The second day was better, maybe because there's catered dinner, haha. Even ppl like BoonSing and Seela came, though we soon ran out of options to play. There's only cards, and majong lo. So ppl cant help but feel bored. Thankfully, desmond brought dvds and a dvd player, and that basically occupy us for the rest of the night. We watched open season (then tot that it's so boring), then casino royale (then tot that we dunno what's going on), then deathnote (then couldn't understand the poorly translated subtitles at all). Sigh, played more cards next morning, then left the chalet with shiyun, evvone, char, shuyi and ying chern.

Science Research isn't fun anymore when you have to write report, and fill up those damn ssef forms, and delicate 6 weeks of holidays to it
i'll looked at the path i've walked, and i think that i've walked down a wrong path. I've spent like so much time on this that i neglected so many other commitments, but only to achieve this much? After spending 6 weeks doing experimentation, i just wanna throw everything back to them... But that's not a choice. I've to continue on this path, to take part in ssef, and to be judge by NUS h3 commitee. it's not a loss of interest. i'm just tired to doing all these.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Creons could be more happy if they didn't change their OG head
I understand how terence feels. The feeling of been pulled from all four sides, only to be unable to commit at all, is terrible to himself and to the others. But this isn't any better an arrangement either. The new OG head hasn't been very spontaneous, efficient, nor effective. He hasn't been able to rally his fellow OGLs at all. He wants to change, he's trying, but has no direction as to how. He is lost. I just hope he can find his way before orientation starts. Sorry

ITCInstructors Training Camp
a.k.a Self "Tekan" Camp
Woah, the past 3 days has been like a replay of OLC 2006. Other things aside, i'll just highlight the main events of ITC. The land, sea, and air component.
First Day
Urban Ex! But unlike OLC, the checkpoints this time was wicked sick. For my team (actually me and monster only la), we went from VJC, to Mt Faber, to Botanical Garden, to Chinese Garden, to Sungei Buloh, to Green Circle, to Zoo, to Orchid Garden, and to west cost, then back to VJC again. In the end, we made it to all 8, but was 19 mins late. Sigh, end up, we were told it's not even meant to be completed at all.
Nonetheless, i found this running around somewhat enriching. When we took a bus to Sungei Buloh, we were approached by an "ang moh", who asked us whether we're going to Sungei Buloh, in perfect chinese. I doubt some of my classmate can even speak as well as him lo. And as a foreigner, he knows more about that place than us! Amazing!
Walking to the next checkpoint (green circle), was sian, because we don even know where it is. While we were intending to walk out of the place then think later, a truck from behind honk at us. At first i thought he was just making sure we stayed clear of the road, but i thought wrong! He actually offered to ferry us to the next checkpoint! On the way, he told us about the time when he was young, when he stopped education at primary 3, to the time he was rich (earning like 20k to 30k per month), going to china and malaysia for business trip, to the time now, when he is bankrupt, driving a truck around. His life story is indeed full of successes and failures. Hmm, business is not easy at all. Anyway, when we reached green circle, we saw wilson and eugene, stuck at that checkpoint. Lucky for us, the same uncle who fetch us here waited for us, and drove us out to the mrt station! lucky us!
Second Day
Dragonboating! This was a new experience for many of us. Though all of us got 2 star kayaking already, we are still mountain tortoise when it comes to dragon boating. When we reached SDBA (Singapore Dragonboating Association), we felt so......small. The guys from ACJC were all so muscular than even Weiqin look small. But thankfully, dragonboating is not just about strength (though it' a large component, sad to say), but coordination as well. After several attempts, our boat was gliding gracefully on top of the water. Besides going forward, we also played "Viking". We would all sit by the sides and rock the boat sideways. Surprisely, the boat is so heavy that it's impossible to capsize. But as compared to kayaking, the things you can do with a dragonboat is so limited, making it not as enjoyable as kayaking.
Third Day
High elements! Acutally not really, it's just a 25m and 18m rock wall. Comparing this wall to the school's wall, the school's wall looks so small. Many people managed to reach the top, including eric, dennis, liwen, etc, while others are so tired (and bored) that they just throw stones at one another.
After this, we had lunch at northpoint! ITC's seriousness taken a 180 degree turn. The few of us ate ban mian, which was so filling that i couldn't finish it. Not to mention ice kachang! Ahhhh....
Back at Home
Now, back at home. It's nice to be at home. I'm gonna eat all the nice food and play, while i still can. Next week will be full of activities again

02 December 2006
Over! After spending about 4-5 weeks at biopolis, i finally finished my project! (not really actually, i still need to write report and collect my last set of results) Finally, i don have to take the stupid 50min trip for SengKang to Buona Vista. Damn tiring la
Went back to ODAC room today. Realised that i missed it so much. Afterall, i haven been in there for like 2-3 weeks? Talked to Eugene and Alvin, then just realised all our different priorities.
For me, i just keep doing my project at biopolis, after feeling all stressed and tired, i'll just play and play. IF i do get tired from playing, then i study.
For Alvin, he's basically a lv 5 mugger now. I don blame him though, he got like 3 R papers to take. Walao, that's like another promos for him lo. I feel kind of sad for him. Jia you hor
For Eugene, apparently he's so bored that he cycle from home to school (ODACer will know how far he lives), swim when he's free, change the odac webbie background, and even study! bored to the extent that you'll rather study. omg lo
I wonder how are other people doing now...tml need to visit my small aunt, so cannot join odacers for dinner again. sigh fullsynchro | 2.12.06
