47 chaletHaven't update for a very long time. Been "recharging" myself like a handphone since the chalet...finally got the energy to blog. If not, i may also forget all about the chalet...
Before the chalet, me, Zhikai, Shiyun, Jia Hao, Zhao Liang were all at school helping out the stall 8 auntie to set up and tidy her stall. The stall itself was really dirty, in fact, it was infested. We can find traces of cockroaches (dead ones) on the ground. Zhi Kai even nearly drop some plates on the.....corpses. But anyway, we wiped away all the 1 mm thick dust on the table tops, shelves, etc, until the stall itself was shiny clean (i guess a bit exaggerated ba). Then later we all waited and waited and waited for the auntie to go pay her PUB bill. Eventually, she came back at around 5pm, which means i am late for the chalet! After chionging all the way to the 88 bus stop, and riding all the way to paris ris, i was the last one to reach at 5.30. Nonetheless, we settled our dinner together at Whitesands, and went to the chalet.
Alas, it was kind of a disappointment when we reach the PA chalet: it was only the size of a 3-room flat, if not smaller. After this, i believe everyone is convinced not to book a chalet at PA again... (Hui Min, not your fault la)
Now, if i were to recollect every memories, this blog would become a 1000 word essay already, so i just keep to the highlights, haha
PS is a hot favourite choice of entertainment (Marvel VS Capcom), especially for people like Ming Zhi (who kept using Jin and strip). I played a bit too. High sense of satisfaction when i managed to pull off a 55 hit Royal Cannon using Gambit and War Machine! HAHA! Played metal slug and even childish game like puzzle bubble. But i have to admit that it's fun.
Pool rocks! Especially when u can play for 2 hours with 4 bucks only. Haha. Because the pool charges $2 per game, theorically, if you catch all the balls before they go into the holes, you can play forever! (no really, until the bar closes). Had a fun time playing. For everyone's infomation, the pool table is at pasir ris beach, at fisherman's village. Woah, if everyone do this, they'll be broke....haha
Some of the boys also went over to Tampines for Lan for CS action! As expected, Louis got the top fraq. None of us can keep up with his kills. A pro indeed... CS is fun, but after playing for too long, you can't help but feel a bit dizzy, in addition to a hole in your pocket...
Then there was BBQ! As usual, i was the fire starter...man, no the fire starters themselves la. Me, Hui Min and Wai Kuan started the fire at the second pit successfully, after 1 or 2 extinguished fire starter. I got a felling that this is one of the quickest fire i ever started, so i have that sense of satisfaction again. haha.
During the BBQ, we were also bugged by a cat who refused to move away. We tried chasing it away, but to no avail. Finally, Defeng comically (as well as cruelly) carry the cat up and drop it over the fence. Ouch! But the stupid thing is that the cat walked one big round to the gate and back again. Sigh
Sleep was a big problem. Imagine, 30 plus people squeezing into 2 rooms. It's more than been packed like sardines, it's like been packed like atoms of a solid! For the first night, me, Louis, Vincent and Zhirong even have to squeeze on a single bed. All sleeping in the same direction, Zhirong even commented that we looked very obscene.
Some people enjoyed themselves throughout the chalet, some play and sleep and play again, some just play and play and play. Some can even stone at the chalet half the time. Since it's our last chalet as a class, should enjoy ourselves to the fullest ma. Aiya, you know who you are la, haha.
This chalet also mark the the end of the year, and the class 47 '05. But the bonds we make with each other, will remain an eternity. fullsynchro | 31.12.05

BBQWoah, feel so full now. Just return from my Dad's friend's BBQ tonight.
i cant really say that i was "looking forward" to the BBQ, but i guess no one can turn down an opportunity to eat, can they? so of course, i went for it :P
The BBQ was actually held indoor, at the front of a factory unit. The good thing is, the BBQ is also accompanied by buffet, which means that we can start eating without waiting for the fire to start (yummy yummy). But nonetheless, the fire was up real quick. And they don't even have fire starters. Why? They used a bunsen burner!!! (one that i recalled Jia Wei used in school) It was so impressive relative to our low-tech fire starters in our own BBQ. At that time, i felt like saying "Ee, play cheat. Use bunsen burner one!"
At the BBQ, Mom and i were offered a can of fizzy drink each. i never liked fizzy drinks, because the gases within always seens to accumulate in my stomach, causing it to bloat. As a result, i felt so full just after drinking a can of coke. Comical am i? But still that's not the focus in today's entry...
At the BBQ, i didn't know who to talk to. Even Zhao Yan (one of Dad's friend i know) wasn't that approachable. Come on, you can't expect me to walk up to a man 30-40 years older and ask "Hello, how are you. Business been good?"? Surely not... Looking at my innocent and lost expression, one of them even comment that i look very decent (i am one, i believe:P). Anyway, i am one of the youngest there at the scene (other than a 4 year old). If i am not the innocent young one, who is?
Most of the men there also have big beer belly (makes me think of the moogie in Shiyun's blog). Haha. Hope i don't become like them in the future. But looking at my waistline now, i doubt that's likely, haha.
i guess that's all for today. Went there with an emtpy stomach, came back with a full stomach. Satisfied! ^.^ fullsynchro | 23.12.05

I'll be deadBeen exercising throughout the holidays, but realised that i can managed to do ONE pull-up only. If it's NAPFA now, i'll be dead already.
Holidays almost over, and i have yet learn how to swim (it was initial one of my priority, but then...). Again, if you throw me into the water now, i'll be already.
i realised that physically, i am flawed. i can write down at least 5 weaknesses about me (shan't list it here). i need to do something about this, otherwise, i'll be dead! fullsynchro | 20.12.05

Soccer funyea, had soccer this morning with 4/7 ppl and Shiu Kit, Yong Biao and others. At first not bad, i managed to score one with a pass from Hun Kiat, haha. But later i kept making mistakes (even score a own goal, really stupid). Boy, maybe i am just not cut of with sports...
Then we went to Goodspeed cyber cafe for CS and Dota fun. We had so much fun, that we don even feel hungry when we played from 12 plus to 3 (i became thinner le). CS was fast and action-packed, i get backstab by Nikesh very often. It's not fair, because sitting next to me, he can see where i am lo. Bored of CS, Nub, me, Zhirong and Nikesh switched to Dota. It was nice, although a bit meaningless. You just kept attacking and attacking until the enemy base is down. Woah, we got threshed by some players called "123" and "321", even though it's 4 vs 2. Sad ah, but nevermind, it's my first time playing:P
After playing for 3 hrs, we were both hungry and "gong" ah. Went to S11 to fill our stomachs, and left after that. Quite an anti-climax finish to a day, but that because we were all too tired to say anything...
Along the way, Zhirong also said that i should have chosen HCI, because we got all get MOE scholarships that can subsidise our school fees(only have to pay $20 plus lo). At that point of time, something clicked inside me, my "shadow" wanted to go HCI. i was having regrets. Later, on the bus, i thought about the issue...

i have decided, i have chosen VJC, i should follow the path that i chose for myself. Suddenly it felt like i gained enlightment (sounds lame, i know), but the regrets have all dissolved. And i am glad. i can finally tell myself, truthfully, i love VJ
enough of philosophical stuffs, more heartening things...i found a job! I am giving tuition class to my neighbour's sons two storey above me! How good is that you asked? My workplace is just 20 steps away, pay is flexible, time is flexible, working hours is flexible, what more can i expect? Many thanks to my mom who help me find labang for me. Now, i won't be a parasite to my family le:)

VJC, here i comePAE resutlts are out! As expected (hehe), i got into VJC. I am glad that i will have many familar faces in the school, if not in my class. For example, Guo Jie, Pei Jun, Agnes, Jai Qing, Shiyun all got into VJ. Also expected, since all of them are "pros". To those who still find difficuties in choosing your subject combinations, here's mine as a reference...

I am glad that i came out with this right after the VJC talk. "Why like that" you asked? Here's my reason...
Come on, Chinese is out of the picture completely. i cannot perform, nor like the subject. Enough said.
Physics? i would like triple, but i will kill myself together with science research and rock climbing as my CCA (yes, rock climbing). Let's just say that time is precious:P Besides, i want to be more a "doctor" than an engineer, so physics will become irrelavant later on...
Hope this made your choice (whoever reads this) clearer. A piece of advice: First you decide, then you follow through. Don't look back and say "ah, i should have chosen that!", because if you have chosen "the other choice", it wouldn't be you, it will be another person asking a different set of questions...
Enough said about PAE. Onto...MapleStory.
God, i am hooked on to MapleStory. Started training my noob mage all the way to lv 22. Wasted 2 days playing. This got to stop man, i feel like a parasite to my family, comsuming energy and food but not working. But today is already the 16th (half a month left), who would want to employ me? (Excuses again, Sze Han) Maybe i will give tuition classes to Wei Ting, Ping Kee and guys. At least it's something more meaningful than Maple...
